Gidgegannup Horse and Pony Club was one of the first clubs to be established in Western
Australia and had its 40th anniversary in 2009. The club belongs to the Hills Zone of the Pony
Club Association of WA. Our club is affiliated with the Equestrian Association.
The club is situated at the Gidgegannup Showground on Toodyay Road. It is very well
equipped with a two star cross country course, two enclosed arenas, new dressage arenas,
Jump for Joy Jumps and stabling for 50 horses. Members range from 5 to 25 years of age.
The Pony Club runs rallies on the second Sunday of each month from February to November.
The rallies usually comprise of 2 x 1 hour morning sessions, lunch break and 2 x 1 hour
afternoon sessions. Each member is expected to attend all 4 sessions unless very young.
Members are placed in groups with other members of a similar level.
